Custom software — when off-the-shelf does not fit

We build software for processes that define your competitive edge. Where SAP modules fit 70 % and SaaS solutions miss the last 30 %, we begin.

When do you need this?

  • Your processes are your competitive edge — a standard solution would push you back to industry average.
  • You have an existing ERP/MES that does not cover the last 20–30 % of your requirements — but you do not want to replace it.
  • You need an application that integrates several legacy systems without forcing case handlers into Excel buffers.
  • No off-the-shelf tool exists for your specialised process — or it would cost more over its lifetime than a custom build.

What we deliver

  • Business-critical web applications in Java/Spring (back-end) and React/Next.js (front-end), GDPR-compliant from EU data centres.
  • REST and GraphQL APIs as a clean integration layer between your legacy systems.
  • Event-driven architectures with Apache Kafka for high throughput and decoupled services.
  • Clean domain modelling (Domain-Driven Design, Event Storming) — no big-ball-of-mud applications.
  • Tests, CI/CD, code reviews and security by design as standard, not add-on.
  • Full documentation, so your IT can evolve the application autonomously.

Methodology

  1. Discovery: workshop, domain analysis, architecture sketch — on us.
  2. Prototype: a working prototype that addresses the core risks (not just a click-dummy).
  3. Fixed-price offer: only after prototype, with clear scope, milestones and acceptance criteria.
  4. Iterative delivery in 2-week sprints — with demo after each sprint.

Typical use cases (industry-focused)

  • Production-planning tool for a mechanical engineer, integrated into an existing SAP system
  • Order tracking with real-time view across plants and suppliers
  • Customer-onboarding platform with document AI and Camunda workflow for regulated industries
  • Field-service app (PWA, offline-capable) for service and maintenance teams

Frequent questions

How long does a typical project take? Workshop to go-live: typically 3–9 months depending on scope. First productive version often 6–10 weeks.

Can we evolve the module ourselves later? Yes. Clean architecture, full documentation and knowledge transfer to your IT are part of every delivery.

Where does the software run? EU data centres by default (Hetzner, Azure EU, AWS EU). On-premises or hybrid on request.

What about the source code? Source-code transfer is part of the work contract. Pre-existing Monadion building blocks remain Monadion property.
